Adopt a pet month (Infographic)

Opt to Adopt and help save a life.

I know it's not possible to rescue every animal and change the world, but to that one pet you save there life will be changed for ever. Rescues are bursting at the seams with unwanted pets and with Christmas fast approaching need all the help we can give them. Even if you're not looking for a pet you can help out by providing any old bedding or old clothes to help keep them warm and comfortable or any old news papers  or even consider a small donation or fostering,

And please consider an older pet who might be overlooked in favour of a puppy, Puppies are usually the first to be adopted and not all shelters are no kill.

What can an Adopted dog bring to your life.

Most animals are Spayed, Neutered, Fully Vaccinated health checked by a vet, Temperament assessed and toilet Trained.

Are you looking for:
  • an exercise buddy?
  • a best friend and confidant for your child?
  • a dog you can train with to learn animal-assisted therapy?
  • a partner in agility competitions?
  • a constant companion for your favourite senior citizen?
  • a fuzzy face to greet you after a hard day at work?
An adopted dog can be all these things -- and so much more!

Your local shelter is the perfect place to find dogs of every type, size, age and personality -- all waiting for a loving home. Or, if you prefer a particular breed that isn’t currently available at a shelter, go online to find a breed-specific rescue group in need of adopters like you.

  3. Great message, Sheba! We especially liked the part you wrote about adopting an older pet. They need loving homes, too, and you are right ... people tend to overlook them. Hugs, and have a great Sunday.
