Meet Marley.

Introducing new boy Marley....

Marley is roughly turning 2yrs old and he has lived with young children happily . He is a friendly boy who needs a firm leader and someone who will continue his socialising. He is in foster with other dogs and wants to play but doesn't understand the rules !! He would be best in a home with another dog that's playful but not bouncy and in his face . He has no idea how to play with toys either but shows interest in them . He enjoys being brushed and walking but he's a bit unsure of what's expected of him on a lead so needs work on that .

Pluto.

Today was supposed to be a happy post, but not so unfortunately.

Well this is a very hard post to write and one we never thought we would have to. Sadly we collected Pluto from his new home on Sunday morning. He was not getting on with the existing dog and there had been a couple of squabbles in the 36 or so hours he was there. When we rehome a dog to a home with other dogs we ask you to integrate them slowly over a matter of weeks and take things very carefully regarding toys, food, and even attention between pack members. Pluto had come from a foster home with 12 other dogs and lived within this pack with no issues due the rules and boundaries set by the human pack leader. He is doing great now and I had lovely kisses and cuddles from him, he really is such a happy eager to please boy. He will now be looking for what will be his EIGHTH HOME!! He is only 3! This next home must be his last!! Please only apply for him if you are willing to take things very slowly and are willing to work with any issues that may arrise. He is living with our chairwoman at Tartuffe and she will give us lots of updates of his progress. Any potential homes will also be required to come and meet Pluto with any dogs they have. He really would suit a very active home as he is a very bouncy high energy dog. Please please help us find him his perfect FOREVER home!

Latest update on Sheba, her hotspot has dried up and is starting to scab over her lampshade collar is starting to annoy her now but it's for her own good, she's back at the vets on Thursday for a check up so will be able to let you know more then.

Sheba's been to the vets.

Hi everyone I'm sorry I've not been around much lately.

We had to phone the vets on Thursday for Sheba she developed a sore which was spreading turned out to be a hot spot.

I thought the vet might of shaved around the infected area but the vet didn't shave her because he thought it would be to painful to get the clippers on her so has gave her a course of tablets to try and clear the infection up and take away the swelling, she's on 4mg Medrone which is a steroid anti inflammatory and 500mg Cephacare which is an antibiotic and we've got to go back next Thursday when he might shave it.

She's not happy having the collar on .

Sheba's hot spot.

Cody being nurse maid he won't let Sheba out of his sight and cuddles up to her at night and Coco grooms her, the pair of them take turns to check on her, I think animals are amazing the way they look after the poorly.

We're off on holiday so I hope it's started heeling over by then so we can take the collar off her. Will keep you all up dated.

Tuesday's Tails. Dogue de Bordeaux's looking for forever homes.

First off some exciting news.

Well the day has come where we can say that Pluto has come on so much and doing so well that we can now invite serious enquiries from people offering to give him his FOREVER home. He has had many homes in his three years so please only offer him a home if you feel you can give him the stability and love that he needs. He is a very active clever boy, very bouncy so we would love him to go somewhere that he will have lots of things to do to further his training and have an active life. He is now fully vaccinated, chipped, neutered, tail fixed, weight normal etc. This boy needs a very special understanding home as he still has a few food related issues (who can blame him?!) Please if you are interested can you message us through the page with your email address and we can send you an application form. Many thanks to his foster mum for doing such an amazing job with the tlc he has had and massive thanks to Royal Canin for providing all of his food, it's worked wonders for him.

When Pluto first came into rescue.

And Pluto now.

Great news for Max also my friend who fostered him fell in love with him and has sent all the paper work back and has now adopted him so Max is now in his forever home aswell.

Dogue's still looking for forever homes.
