I was thinking today about dog beds and the price of them, On one of Sheba's bed's it's padded and the cover doesn't unzip which makes washing it awkward and usually results in a trip to the Launderette for convenience, plus the price of some beds aren't cheap.
So i got thinking a single duvet folded in half would do the same job, wouldn't lose shape and you can just put a duvet cover over it to make washing easier.
And if you pick them up from a Charity shop works out cheap as well.
Great idea. Asda do really cheap duvets as well. Stay warm. Have a fabulous Furday.

That sounds like a good idea! We are actually in the process of making pet beds to serve our purposes.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've been trying for a few days to comment on your posts but couldn't figure out how until I clicked "open in a new browser" and from there had to click "open in a new browser" again! Sorry for the delay - couldn't figure it out but now know :-)
Piggy kisses,

I'm sorry about the trouble you've been having.

You are so right! I think the dogs at our shelter actually like it better when their beds are covered by duvets, blankets, comforters. :)
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of shelters use duvets and blankets, that people donate.

Shelters prefer the blankets over stuffed beds as they're easier to clean since they can go in the washing machine. Great idea about the duvet cover! :)
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense.

That's so true, Mummy and daddy spent loads on a bed for me and I hardly use it BOL
ReplyDeleteCody catty's the same he prefers a cardboard box to a bed.

Great blog
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of bed would it be a good idea for you to decide for your Dog or feline? Picking the right bed for your pet is generally as critical as picking the right bed for yourself.
