MissyMissy was found in Formby alongside Mutley; Mutley was wounded and they were both desperately thin. We aren't sure how long they'd been straying, but they had been sighted over several days! Many kind people attempted to catch them, but cold and frightened they would not allow anyone to approach them. Eventually a Freshfields volunteer managed to rescue the dogs from under a bush where they had been sheltering. Missy and Mutley are now safe and warm at the rescue and they have certainly brought a little sparkle to the centre.Missy is a lovely dog who is extraordinarily excited by everything life throws at her! Although a bit confused by the concept of walking at first, many volunteers have stepped forwards to help, and Missy now enjoys going for walks so much she positively screams with excitement at the prospect! Missy is going to need a patient home with no other pets or young children that will commit a little time towards getting her adjusted to life in a home again. But don't overlook her for this reason; she will make a very entertaining and loving friend to the right home! Missy's diary update: 21/9/12 A very difficult decision had to be made to re-home Mutley seperately from Missy as they were fighting a lot and generally unhappy together. Mutley has found a lovely home but poor Missy is still here! It is extremely sad to see Missy so alone now, especially since she is such a loving little girl. Missy has changed since Mutley left; she is less stressed by other dogs which is good and she has calmed down a lot when she goes out on walks. But on the negative side she is starting to get lonely. She is beside herself when people go into her kennel; she rushes back and forth collecting toys for you then dropping them when she decides she just want a hug; when she is given the field to play on she merely wants to sit and snuggle up to you for as long as she can have you around. She is a beutiful, sweet little girl who just really needs a home to love her. We've had glowing reports as to how well Mutley has settled into his new home and we desperately want the same for Missy. Please don't overlook her, she is a real gem!
