Meet Heidi.

Heidi is still looking for her forever home.

If people want money get a job don't breed your dogs to within an inch of there life, and then dump them when they no longer serve a purpose, a dog is for life not like a car that you can just swap for a younger one or if it needs money spending on it.

I wish people would do there homework before buying a dog they are living creatures that deserve to be loved as a member of there family.

And some of the excuses people come up with for rehoming dogs is ridiculous. I've found out I'm pregnent so no longer need a dog, I didn't expect him/her to grow so big, The colour of the dog doesn't match the furnishings, the dog leaves fur everywhere, I've just had a baby and not got time for a dog, I can't afford vet treatment, I got home from work after a 12 hour shift and the puppy had soiled in the house and the list goes on.

All excuses and so easily avoided by doing a bit of research. Sorry for the rant but it gets really frustrating at times.

Tuesday's Tails. Dogue de Bordeaux's looking for forever homes.

First off some exciting news.

Well the day has come where we can say that Pluto has come on so much and doing so well that we can now invite serious enquiries from people offering to give him his FOREVER home. He has had many homes in his three years so please only offer him a home if you feel you can give him the stability and love that he needs. He is a very active clever boy, very bouncy so we would love him to go somewhere that he will have lots of things to do to further his training and have an active life. He is now fully vaccinated, chipped, neutered, tail fixed, weight normal etc. This boy needs a very special understanding home as he still has a few food related issues (who can blame him?!) Please if you are interested can you message us through the page with your email address and we can send you an application form. Many thanks to his foster mum for doing such an amazing job with the tlc he has had and massive thanks to Royal Canin for providing all of his food, it's worked wonders for him.

When Pluto first came into rescue.

And Pluto now.

Great news for Max also my friend who fostered him fell in love with him and has sent all the paper work back and has now adopted him so Max is now in his forever home aswell.

Dogue's still looking for forever homes.

Meet Petey. Up for Adoption.

Tuesday Tails Blog Hop.

Petey

Petey was brought in after he was found tied up but we believe he was probably abandoned. Petey is a great dog, young, handsome, friendly - what more could you ask for! Petey quickly found a home but has sadly been returned because he was too much for his owners to manage. Petey is a fun-loving, enteusiastic boy but he is also an adolescent and as a result he is always pushing the boundaries and quite simply doesn't know his own strength. His previous home mentioned that he was far more responsive to men than women which is important for anyone wishing to adopt him. As a young boy, he will need somebody home for most of the day and he is also going to need an experienced home who will help him to calm down and behave sensibly in a home. Petey also needs a home with no young children as he can be mouthy when excited. He will be a fun dog, that will entertain you and make a great companion with someone who can dedicate the time into settling him down.

Petey's Update 2/1/13:

Petey is finally settling into kennels life and he realy is a lovely young boy! He is very energetic and you have to have quick wits in order to keep up with him, but if you have the energy to match his he really will make a wonderfully entertaining friend! Petey is certainly not a family dog as he is very boisterous and quite mouthy at times. He would best suit an active home where someone has the patience and kindness to help him de-stress and relax into a normal way of life. This won't happen overnight but this lovely boy is really worth it!
