Please help adopt Missy.
MissyMissy was found in Formby alongside Mutley; Mutley was wounded and they were both desperately thin. We aren't sure how long they'd been straying, but they had been sighted over several days! Many kind people attempted to catch them, but cold and frightened they would not allow anyone to approach them. Eventually a Freshfields volunteer managed to rescue the dogs from under a bush where they had been sheltering. Missy and Mutley are now safe and warm at the rescue and they have certainly brought a little sparkle to the centre.Missy is a lovely dog who is extraordinarily excited by everything life throws at her! Although a bit confused by the concept of walking at first, many volunteers have stepped forwards to help, and Missy now enjoys going for walks so much she positively screams with excitement at the prospect! Missy is going to need a patient home with no other pets or young children that will commit a little time towards getting her adjusted to life in a home again. But don't overlook her for this reason; she will make a very entertaining and loving friend to the right home! Missy's diary update: 21/9/12 A very difficult decision had to be made to re-home Mutley seperately from Missy as they were fighting a lot and generally unhappy together. Mutley has found a lovely home but poor Missy is still here! It is extremely sad to see Missy so alone now, especially since she is such a loving little girl. Missy has changed since Mutley left; she is less stressed by other dogs which is good and she has calmed down a lot when she goes out on walks. But on the negative side she is starting to get lonely. She is beside herself when people go into her kennel; she rushes back and forth collecting toys for you then dropping them when she decides she just want a hug; when she is given the field to play on she merely wants to sit and snuggle up to you for as long as she can have you around. She is a beutiful, sweet little girl who just really needs a home to love her. We've had glowing reports as to how well Mutley has settled into his new home and we desperately want the same for Missy. Please don't overlook her, she is a real gem! 1 Year Blogiversary.
This blog is a big 1 today, i can't believe It's been going 1 year doesn't time fly when your having fun.
When i started this blog 12 months ago i didn't have a clue what i was doing, but It's just grown in popularity now thanks to BlogPaws and it's members, Google and You Tube.
I remember when i started and how excited i was when i got my first comment and follower.
I've met some lovely virtual friends along the way from all over the world i know we will probably never meet and have a run in the dog park or on the beach with you but through reading your blogs i feel as if i know you all, there's something special about pet bloggers you're all so friendly and have helped me out a lot. Even though It's been a great year It's not been without It's low points and sadness either as a few blogging pals have left us for that trip over the Rainbow Bridge.
Just one more observation a lot of my followers are from America and I was surprised how many own Pitbulls/Pitbull crosses and talk so fondly of them, Pitbulls are banned in the uk under the Dangerous dogs act so I've never had the pleasure of meeting any but from what I've seen on the TV they are lovely dogs and make great pets even Battersea Cats and Dogs home says 92% of illegal dogs it is forced to hand to police for destruction would have made good pets.
The reasoning being Pitbulls are fighting dogs, who's is that fault Pitbulls, Staffies or any other breed for that matter don't get a say in the matter there forced into it by humans not through personnel choice I'm sure if they could speak up for themselves and you gave them a choice of a lap to lie in, a nice warm fire to lie in front of or to go fighting how many would choose the later.
Even small dogs can be aggressive if not brought up properly It's our responsibility to make sure there trained properly and mature into good canine citizens, at the end of the day there not born evil monsters It's what humans have turned them into.
So i think It's about time we stopped picking on the easy target who can't defend themselves in court and started hitting the dog fighting rings harder.

Some of the highlights from 2012/2013.
I went to the Valentines day Ball kindly hosted by Mollie and Ranger with Grady who was also chaperoning Ash, i just think he wanted to keep his options open BOL
I also got my hunky man cat brother (Cody) a date as well with the lovely Miss Daisy.
I also got this lovely gift off Grady full of yummy doggy treats.
And Cody also got this cool card off Daisy.
I've also won a couple of great prizes in giveaways.
I won this great QR tag off Carma Poodale Allen.
I also won this Pet Alert sticker off Cats & co.
I went to the Lake District on holiday for a week and we're booked in for 2 weeks this year over Christmas and New Year.
Mum and Dad got Engaged when we were on holiday..
Dad found another Women, don't worry he didn't cheat on Mum no one else would have him according to Mum BOL it was a Samoyed the cheek of it friending a lady dog when I'm not around, i only found out about it through Mum it all happened at the jewellers when mum went to get her ring size altered and the owner had his dog in the shop, i lost count of how much groveling he had to do for that misdemeanour.
Dad also paid for me to get my nails done for my Blogiversary, now Mums complaining something about favouritism because she can't get Dad to pay for her to get her nails done, sorry Mum but that's life you've either got it or you haven't obviously i have it BOL
