The battle of the couch continues.

What's that human doing on the couch, Cody says he was trying to kick him off it looks more like he was trying to have a sneeky cuddle.

 

 He redeamed himself here though, Move or i will squash you.

The humans were going to buy this cushion, i can't read though.

Hurricane Sandy: Tips For Pet Owners

Among the chaos of boarding up windows and stocking up on food and supplies, pet owners are being encouraged to make sure their furry friends are prepared to weather Hurricane Sandy.

“We want to encourage everybody if they are evacuating to take your pets with you,” said Tim Rickey, senior director of field investigations and response with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

“If your home is not safe for you, it is not safe for your pet,” he said.

New York City shelters are pet friendly, something Rickey said many people did not realize during Hurricane Irene. He encouraged people in the path of Sandy but outside of New York City to check with their local shelters to see if pets are allowed.
“It’s really sporadic. A lot of areas are [pet friendly] but some still aren’t,” he said. ”We’re actively working on that front, trying to get supplies into the northeast.”

The ASPCA has issued the following tips for pet owners:

• Always bring pets indoors at the first sign or warning of a storm or disaster.
• Make sure all pets wear collars and ID tags with up-to-date identification. Micro-chip your pet as a more permanent form of identification.
• Keep a pet emergency kit and supplies handy with items such as medical records, water, pet food and medications, and pet first aid supplies. Take this with you if you evacuate.
• Arrange a safe haven for your pets in the event of evacuation. Do not leave your pets behind.

 We can't believe it's been 12 months since you departed this world to go over the Rainbow Bridge to play with your sister Millie and the rest of the menagerie who went before you.

We were sorry to let you go but we couldn't let you suffer it wouldn't of been fair on any of us. It would of been cruel to keep pumping you full of medication without you having that quality of life.

We have got a new cat now Cody Catty but don't worry he's not a replacement, we could never replace you you were one in a million. You probably know about Cody anyhow you've probably seen him when you've been back to visit us, i certainly think you've had a word or two with him, he's developed a few of your traits ie tripping me up on the stairs, ambushing me on the stairs if I'm carrying Chicken or Salmon upstairs for his supper he tries to grab the bowl off me and empty it before i get upstairs, he likes his cuddles on the stairs and his night time treats. Oh and one more thing he's a Mummy's boy.

You might of left this world but you will never be forgotton, run free now free from pain and suffering.
